What experience do you have?
I'm a GMC registered General Practitioner with nearly 20 years of clinical experience. I've been performing musculoskeletal injections as part of my NHS practice and in prisons for the past 12 years.
Which conditions can musculoskeletal injections treat?
Injections of both Depo-medrone® (methylprednisolone acetate) and Ostenil® (hyaluronic acid) can be used in the management of a number of different painful conditions including:

Can anyone have a joint injection?
Many patients suffering with a variety of conditions are suitable for musculoskeletal injections. However, there are some conditions where it would be unsafe to perform an injection. These include:
superficial skin or soft-tissue infection;
suspected joint infection;
systemic infection or concurrent illness;
unstable coagulopathy (bleeding disorder);
anticoagulant therapy (eg. warfarin);
uncontrolled diabetes mellitus;
broken skin at the injection site.

A 30 minute face-to-face medical examination of your musculoskeletal condition.
Ostenil® (hyaluronic acid 10mg/ml)
Single site £150
Two sites £280
Ostenil® Plus (hyaluronic acid 20mg/ml)
Single joint £200
Two joints £380
NB: all patients must have an initial consultation before I can perform an injection. This is to ensure that it is clinically justified and that it can be performed safely. Consultation fees are payable whether or not you receive an injection during the appointment.
